I have come to the conclusion that this is a love story: the most stubborn one in a long career of heartbreaks.

Of my 30 years, 20 were spent with a 10-pound companion made of metal. There have been several near-divorces that we have gone through in recent years, but without ever coming to an end. About a year ago, I decided, on the verge of despair, to look for couples therapy that would work for us. Since then, it's as if we're starting almost all over again: we dance, we play hide and seek, we change roles. This is a Work In Progress about the possibility of feeling the weight of 5 cranes and levitating in the next instant. It's about reinventing ourselves and reinventing things and others in our eyes. It's about hope; it's about love.
